How to stand out on a special occasion or wedding

Hi There.....have you had enough of all that cheap jewelry you see everybody walking around with?

Wouldn't you rather stand out with a very special piece of jewelry?

Well no need to look any further cause I have some beautiful pieces I want to show you 😁

Recently someone made a remark on my blog post that my title was not catchy at all. Well, it was anonymous but I still thought ok let's see if I can find a way to improve myself. So if you are reading this now.....what do you think is my title better now?

I am actually happy to get that kind of remarks cause I am always looking to improve myself or maybe I am just a bit crazy or who knows it might be both or there is another option I might be crazy not to take on any advice I get 😏

Did you know that there are many cultures that use jewelry to ward off evil? So if you don't own any it is time for you to buy some.....no time like the present 😁

Ok, let's see if I can find other reasons to get you past that threshold.

Did you know that making jewelry to me is more than just a passion? It is actually some kind of therapy for me ass well. I have a lot of joint problems as some of you know but what most of you might not know is that even though I take a lot of painkillers I still have to deal with pain on a daily basis. Making jewelry takes my mind off that pain and gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Introducing you to - Katsign

Hi There.....Are you a fan of cats or maybe even a cat lady?

I am just crazy about those little creatures.....but I am also a big fan of the bigger types of cats as long as they can't get to me lol 😁

That is why today I want to introduce you to Katsign

She makes the most beautiful pictures of cats. Her object is to catch that natural look that portrays the character of the cat. She has had tons of experience.....that is why she speaks their language to get them in a relaxed pose in front of the camera. She strives to get the perfect picture in a relaxed way.

She has been in the press on numerous occasions and her pictures have been published in magazines.
Last year she received the first-ever European Photographer Label as a European Cat photographer.

In short.....she is amazing 😊

But that's not all she also makes all kinds of cat stuff. Cute and fun things made out of pure felt and 100% cotton. Things like jewelry with all kinds of animals, cat baskets, clutches, purses, keychains, brooches, and so much more.

Most recently she added special Cat T-shirts for women to her shop. Super soft in a mix of bamboo (70% bamboo and 30% biological cotton) and Fair Wear. They are being handprinted in London and for every T-shirt she sells a part gets donated to the World Land Trust to protect endangered species.

Don't you just love it when people come up for a good cause.

Pre-Summer Sale at BeadworkSeadbeady

Hi There.....Are you enjoying the sun out there?

I am but it's still a bit cold here in Belgium. But that didn't hold me back to buy me a new dress yesterday 😀

And that was not the only thing, I also bought a summer blouse and a pair of pants.

But as I was thinking of summer coming soon, I was also thinking that it has been a long time ago since I had a sale in my shop. So I decided to make a pre-summer sale with a discount of 15% for a minimum purchase of 30 Euro.

Also, am trying out new pictures as my main picture on Etsy to stand out more from the crowd and give a hint on how my jewelry is made.

What do you think does this picture make it clear that my jewelry is made with thread 😨


So what do you think do you like the one above better or this one below.....the one I used before 😮

Please let me know what you think.....I would so love to have some feedback or suggestions from you on how to do better 😃

Did you know it is better to spread putting on new listings over a few days if you can and not put them all on the same day?

It is also important to give shop updates on a regular base like at least once every 2 or 3 days so I've heard. You can use photos from your workspace or a picture of some work in progress or maybe some tips on how to use your items 😊

Another thing that people doubt if it makes a difference is the description of your item. Not everyone may read all the things you put into this.....but it may be important for the few people that are genuinely interested.

So this may be a great time to show you what's new in my shop and what is still to come. Below are 2 items I still need to list in my shop.

Confessions of a Seadbeadaholic part 7

Hi There.....Are you ready for Spring?

I am, for sure. I just love to see nature come alive. The first flowers and the blossoms in the trees. And most of all the weather getting better 😊

So I was thinking why not do a small Spring sale in my shop. You get a 10% discount during the month of May for a minimum purchase of 30 Euro.

Did you notice that I am slightly changing all my pictures in my shop too? I hope you like the new clean look. Let me know if you don't, cause I am always open for suggestions 😉

Actually, it is not just my shop that has a different look. Last year I had a Gastric Bypass and since then I lost 41 kilos. I always thought that this was the easy way, but it's not you know. The first weeks are the hardest.....you only get to eat things like yogurt or fresh cheese or soup.....nothing solid.

Then you can start eating a bit of bread again and later on some meat. But the things you need to be careful with are fats and sugars. If you don't abide by that rule you pay with heavy cramps, feeling unwell, sweating and sometimes vomiting. You really don't want that.....believe me 😵

But it's been a year now and I can eat almost everything.....in small amounts of course. What I like most is that I am never hungry anymore 😃

What is most striking for myself, is that there are a lot of things I used to love eating that I just don't like anymore. And now I also tend to choose the more salty foods over sweet foods. I am just not that interested anymore in things like cake or chocolate.

I hardly believe it myself sometimes.....but am so happy I took that step 😃
